Dr. Jun Kim is an Associate Professor in the Recreation Professions program at the Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIUC). He is interested in people’s motivation to learn scientific principles throughout recreational activities. STEM education combined with Recreation and Arts (STREAM) may be an effective pedagogical approach of science. Dr. Kim and his colleagues used Smart Drone Soccer Program funded by SIUC as well as coordinated Blockchain System with recreational activity which was published in the Journal of STEM Education (2021). Is there an easy and fun way to make students understand the scientific principles? Dr. Kim asks this ongoing question in order to develop effective methodology of recreation.
